Art Gallery & Custom Framing
About Cantrell Gallery
Cantrell Gallery is not only the longest running art and custom framing business in the Central Arkansas region, the folks at Cantrell Gallery are also passionate about knowing their loyal clients and giving them the best quality framing and art at a fair price. Complete, top-quality custom framing goes well, alongside the art and hand-made jewelry. Cantrell Gallery features art by established and emerging local/regional artists.
Additional comments from the owner, Cindy Scott-Huisman: “When acid-free mats and backing boards initially became available we quickly jumped on board and transitioned completely over to only offering these top-quality materials. Acid free materials not only help protect the condition of the piece being framed, these mats continue to look fresh and hold their original color over time.
Similarly, we only use UV filtering glass and other glazing options.
We like to point out your choices and also provide recommendations. You may think of damaging UV strictly coming from sunlight, but some indoors lighting can damage art as well.
One might think that if you only paid a small amount for the piece you are framing, you would want to pay only a little for the framing. In very few, certain situations this could be true. But if you love it enough to frame it and hang it in your surroundings, why waste whatever amount
you pay on framing the item for it to become ruined anyway?
Art, whether it is high-end expensive fine art, a drawing done by your child, photography, other portraiture of your family, or even a diploma, representing years of education – it all deserves to be preserved.
The best way to remember and enjoy these types of items is by attractively framing them so they can be displayed.
Through many years of experience, we have honed the art of caring for and handling our client’s treasures.
One day we might be framing an original Andrew Wyeth and later that day we are finishing up a framed Precious Moments puzzle that is missing a couple of pieces. Both of these items have value. It is not ours to decide what is worth framing. Some very special memories are tied to that puzzle, and we are going to handle it with the utmost care.”
